What Are the Problems?

Nepal had over a decade of civil war starting in the mid 90’s. While there have been several years of peace, a new constitution has yet to be ratified. Combined with poor infrastructure and intermittent bandas (general strikes), the investment/development environment is often challenging. Talented citizens of Nepal are often tempted to work overseas, leading to a shortage of trained personnel. As mentioned before, there is a general power shortage and often a concurrent fuel shortage.
